On Friday 13 July everyone was surprised to see Chris Collins of Blue Peter fame presenting the South and South East Blooming Schools GOLD award to our head gardener Mrs Pam Toms and the school gardeners.
Ben Ainslie could make history this summer and become the World’s most successful Olympic sailor since sailing was introduced at the 1900 Games in Paris. To achieve this feat, Ben needs to win his fourth Olympic gold medal in London. Everyone at the British Finn Association (the class of boat Ben will be competing in)
Miss Hussey and Hayley Williams jumped out of a plane on Saturday (2nd July) to raise money for the school and for Cancer Research. They survived…and we think they are completely mad!!! BUT- Well done to both of them- what an amazing thing to do!
The Gardening club have been really busy getting the school garden ready. Even in this hot, hot, hot weather, they’ve been beavering away! It’s looking really beautiful already!

Oak Team have kicked off their Journeys project by looking at a beautiful book called Song For Planet Earth by Meredith Hooper. We have been writing our own verses and illustrating them in the same style. We have talked about what the title Journeys means to us and have designed the project around our ideas.
