We are very proud of our achievements at the Swimming Gala last Friday. Not only did we come first but the behaviour of our team at the poolside was exemplary! We will now go through to the finals which will be held at the West Wight Pool on Monday 29th June 9.30 - 11.30. A big thank you to all the parents who provided lifts for our swimmers too.
As always we have reached that time of year when we have to say some goodbyes. Ms Kay will be leaving in July to take up a teaching post in Mozambique. We shall all miss her but wish her and her family well in their next adventure in Africa! We hope to stay in email contact once they get established!
Sian Mumford will be on maternity leave from Friday 22nd May (if you haven’t already noticed) and I’m sure you’ll join me in wishing her well and hope she makes the most of the brief chance to put her feet up!! Mrs Fleming and Mrs Drew will be teaching Cherry Tree class as a 50/50 job share during Sian’s maternity leave.
Oh dear I’m afraid that our Eco Afternoon has had to be cancelled due to the weather. However we will be holding it next Friday now.

The friendly football match against Gurnard has also been postponed and hopefully rescheduled for Thursday 28th May.
Sports Day will be held on Friday 12th June in the afternoon with the KS2 running heats being run from 11am. Foundation Stage will be holding their Sports Day on 11th June also in the afternoon.
Scallywags Fun Club at Love Lane School will be opening for 4 days during Half Term. Ring Sarah Wherry on 530433 for more details.
