Welcome back!
Well done Chloe Haskett and Chloe Courage!
Reminder recycling.

Please notify us if you are held up or going to be late.

Welcome back everyone! It was so nice to meet and greet children who were eager to return to school on Monday morning.

? I would like to remind parents that our eco bottles are recyclable and if you give them to us we receive money for returning them. Don’t forget that you can also purchase replacement tops from the office.

? Well done to Chloe Haskett and Chloe Courage. They raised £30.27p for Age Concern with their Bring and Buy sale yesterday.

? Ali and Cherry, our wonderful team in the kitchen, have been awarded Five Stars for their Food Hygiene Rating.

? Can I please remind parents that it is essential that you cross children off the register if they are not staying for a previously booked session in Brambles.

Some evenings are over subscribed so we will have to charge you if you take up a space but don’t use it.

? We now have a new procedure in place for the late collection of children.

Children in KS2who are not collected on time by their parents must return to their class teacher.

Children in KS1 will remain with the class teacher for 15 mins and then a contact number will be phoned.

If the child has not been collected at this stage they will be taken in to Brambles or left with Mrs. Miles.

? We are delighted to have Ms. Penny Drew joining our team in June. She will be joining Tamsin Fleming as part of a job share covering Sian’s maternity leave in Cherry Tree Class.

? Clubs will start again on Tuesday so please get your children to sign up if they wish to attend.

? Events for your diary include ‘Come to School a Different Way’ week which starts on Monday 11th May and the week ends with our Eco afternoon on Friday 15th May.

? In preparation for Eco Day we are asking the children to- Design an invitation for the Eco Open Afternoon that we can use.

Design a ‘Bed of Colour’- I am talking about a 1 metre square flower bed! The children can design an arrangement of colours they would like to see and the winning entry will be transformed in to flowers!

Julia Neill has asked me to send out an appeal to anyone who might be sowing seeds. Could you please keep some plants to sell on our Open Afternoon.

? Due to an increase in numbers Northwood Playgroup are looking for someone to help out during lunch times. For hours of work and pay contact playgroup direct or ring Julie on 289717.

? An important message from Mr. Bryant for all those ‘Walking the Wight’ on 17th May.

You are advised to park at the Needles (not Freshwater Bay). There will be a shuttle bus service from the Needles Park to Freshwater Bay for you to start the 4 mile walk.

Make sure you carry a Walkers Number in order to receive a medal and GOOD LUCK!
