J Ms Kay has asked me to say a big thank you to all parents who helped so much to make the Southern Road School visit such a success – cooks, bed makers, people who assisted with trips, people who lent their beach huts. Thanks also to those who lent us camp beds. Some are still in the library and need to be retrieved! We couldn’t have done it without all of you.
J I know that a lot of families will be involved in the BAE systems fun day next Saturday but do still pop in to the Sing a thon too. We have a number of performers already and hope that the children are collecting sponsors to come and sing on the day. There will be refreshments too and you could bring a picnic to eat on the school field.
J A reminder that Tuesday 8th July is a mufti day in aid of Ms Howland’s fundraising for her school in Africa. Come to school wearing colours of the Tanzanian flag – green, blue, yellow or black – and make a donation. Thank you Chloe, for your lovely idea.
J Tickets for the KS2 production of The Willow Pattern Story at Medina Theatre on Wednesday 23rd July will go on sale from the School Office on Wednesday 9th July, priced at £3 each.
J Next week it will be Apple Tree’s turn to invite someone to come and have a school lunch with them.
J Should we have to cancel Sports Day tomorrow because of the weather, we will try to hold it on Monday 7th July….same times, same place! Weather permitting of course!
J Tegan & Jayden Walmsley’s family are holding their annual fundraising day in aid of the hospice on Saturday 5th July at 163 Park Road, Cowes. Go and enjoy homemade cakes and refreshments, bouncy castle, splash pool and, at 2pm, a visit from Darth Vader and his Stormtroopers. May the force be with you all!
J On Sunday 6th July Ventnor Cricket Club are offering you the opportunity to have your photo taken with the Barclays Premier League Trophy for £2 per person.. Go along between 1pm and 4pm, but remember to take your camera!
