J Last Friday I walked in to an amazing gathering at Gurnard Pines and was nearly deafened by the wonderfully encouraging shouts and cheers during the Cowes Cluster Swimming Gala.
There was a sense of fun, excitement, collaboration and some amazing finishes!! A big thank you to Sara Shephard for organising such a successful event. I look forward to the next one! Well done to all the children who took part. We won the trophy too.
J Monday June 2nd is a development day so there will be NO SCHOOL on that day.
J We have had a super response to our ‘Come to School A Different Way Week’. I shall be displaying some of the photos in the corridor!
J We look forward to our cook returning from holiday after half term. During June and July we shall be inviting parents, grandparents and friends to attend our lunch club on a weekly class rota basis. Look out for details after the holiday.
J The closing date for the advertised Teaching Assistant post is 9a.m. on Tuesday 3rd June.
J We still have an opportunity for someone to work two days a week as a midday supervisory assistant. The hours are from 11.55 – 1.00, preferably on a Tuesday and Thursday. Please see Mrs Airey for further details.
J On Saturday 24th May you are invited to a Museum Mayhem at Cowes Maritime Museum from 10.00am –2.00pm Free Entry.
J On Sunday 25th May there is a Car Boot Sale at West Wight Swimming Pool.
J On Friday 30th May ‘Commotion in the Ocean’ comes to Cowes Library!! There will be stories, games and crafts for 4 – 8 year olds.
J A note for your diary. Foundation stage will be holding their Sports Day on Thursday 3rd July at 1. 30pm.
J Do you have any spare plants or big plants that can be divided or have cuttings taken? Please could you pot them up over the half term holiday ready for the plant stall at the Summer Fayre. Thank you!
J We would like to wish Sally Martin a very happy retirement after her years of dedication to playgroup and Northwood School.
