WHEN CAN MY CHILD START SCHOOL?
Children reaching the age of 5 between the 1st September and the following 31st August are admitted in September. Children start school on a part time basis, according to age and need.
Four- year- old children will be offered an appropriate early years curriculum NOT a watered down version of Key Stage 1.
There is no obligation for a child to start until the term after his/her 5th birthday.
Before starting in the Reception Class, children will be invited to attend school for regular sessions. All parents are offered individual home visits from the reception class teacher. This provides an ideal opportunity for parents, children and the teacher to meet on an informal basis.
