WILL I BE INFORMED OF MY CHILD’S PROGRESS?

You are invited to discuss your child with the class teacher during the Autumn and Spring terms.

A formal report is written about each child and shared with you and your son or daughter during the last half of the Summer term.

During the school year in which he or she is 7 years old, there will be a range of assessments designed to establish how each child is progressing against national standards of attainment. These activities are known as Standard Assessment Tasks or SATs. The results of these SATs will be available to parents for the written report.

All Year 3 children will be assessed for their cognitive ability during one week in the summer. Year 4 children also undergo SATs which are not for publication, although parents will be informed of their child’s results.

Please do not wait until a formal interview date to discuss any anxieties or to share any successes.
