national attainment level?

can someone please explain what the national average levels are for each year group. find report time very confusing and would like to see where my children are at nationally.

Very roughly speaking the attainment levels are as follows
By the end of KS1 [Y2]your child would be expected to reach 2b
By the end of KS2 [Y6] your child is expected to reach 4b
2 c is below 2b and 2a is above
We hope that the majority of our children will reach 2b at the end of Y2 and 3b at the end of Y4. We expect some of them to do much better, and some not to achieve this.
I am very happy to explain this further as the levels in KS 2 get telescoped and therefore they are rather confusing!
