Hello from Willow Tree Class (Year 1 & 2) . 
We are now well into our new term and topic of Journeys - a geography based topic.  We have looked at our school, Northwood village, the Isle of Wight and the UK. We are now looking at China - a country so different from ours in so many ways!  We have found some information in non-fiction books and made our own posters. Some of our friends have bought in some Chinese dresses and a parasol. Today we even had a go at some Chinese writing! We are also having a visit from a Chinese Opera Company who will be telling stories, playing percussion and acting.
In science we are looking FORCES. Think of all the things that move during the day. They all need a push or a pull from us, or the wind, water or an engine. Think of how a horse and cart moves. Think of how a kite moves. Think of how a hovercraft moves.
We have tested toy cars down a ramp and then tested them on different surfaces. Come and look at our results now they are on a computer graph.
