This term our topic is 'journeys'.  We have been looking at our local area,  places on the 'island' and how we travel to school.  At the moment we are learning about China and have made lucky red pictures, dragons and created some chinese writing.
                                   
We are all excited about a forthcoming visit from Jing Kun Opera Company.  They are going to do some storytelling and dance.

                                                

In science we have been investigating 'what happens to the toy car if we change the height of a ramp?' and testing which surface a toy car runs best on.    We found out that the laminate and lino were the best surfaces and the spiky carpet and velvet the worst!  We have had lots of fun and tried very hard to create a fair test!

Poetry journal
Regular, little and often sessions prove to be most succesful. Work done with parents/carers at home has an enormous impact on learning.
