Happy New Year to everyone from all in Beech team. We have had a snowy start but that won't curb our enthusiasm to attack our new topic of 'Journeys'. We start 2010 looking at Mozambique, where Ms Kay is teaching. We will be looking at the culture, food, politics and geography of this facinating country. Links have already been forged with Ms Kay's class by e-mails and all the children have a penfriend that they have written to.
After half term we will be going on a historical journey, back in time, to life during World War 11. Through first hand experience the children will be immersed in the way of life during the war and they will be evacuated and re-homed to a safer area. If there are any willing adults with personal stories of the War, we would love for you to share them with us. Please contact us in Beech so we can arrange a date for you to come in. Thank you for your continued support. During the term we will also be re-newing our links with our friends at Southern Road school in London. In the Summer term Yr 4 children will be visiting them at their school and at the same time Yr 3 children will be going to the Imperial War Museum. We hope you will enjoy coming in to see what we have been up to and look forward to seeing you.
