Welcome to the second half of the Autumn Term in Apple Tree Class

We are in the middle of our Once Upon A Time Topic and are busy learning traditional stories through exciting play opportunities.
We will be:
• Finding out what it was like when our parents went to school using photos or artefacts
• Continuing to learn and keep the Golden Rules and really getting to know what qualities you need to be a good friend
• Starting Phase 2 of Letters and Sounds
• Finding out about ginger and making Gingerbread Men
• Learning about different types of bridges before designing and building our own Billy Gruff bridges
• Designing a duvet cover for Little Red Riding Hood’s Grandma
• Learning about shoes to design and make our own pair of shoes
• Role-playing, dancing or re-telling the stories we are learning using puppets and small world
• Dancing to extend our gross/fine motor skills to music
• Writing at every opportunity
• Enjoying Forest School
• Celebrating our learning at every opportunity

Plus so much more …
