Welcome to the summer term…and at last the sun is shining! We hope this continues as this term our topic is called “Green Fingers”. We will be looking at plants and seeds. We will be starting with a talk and a tour of the school garden from Pam and a visit from a local wholesale florist. We will then be planting some seeds and seeing if they grow. We will be learning all about the different plants in our environment, and using books and keys to try and identify some of them. We will be looking at maps and plans and learning how to draw our own, to map the different areas in the school grounds. If the weather allows Mrs Essery will be taking us to the allotment so we really can get green fingers!! It will be a very busy term so we hope you are all ready to work hard.
The school’s work to promote pupils’ personal development and welfare is outstanding.
