Newsletter 25th January

· Inclement Weather – Thank you for your understanding regarding the school
closure on Friday of last week. The procedures to ensure everyone’s safety
ran very well. We are hoping that our snow excitement for this year is now
over and we carry on as normal for the rest of the term!
· Cake Stall – Lovely Lisa has kindly agree to hold a Cake Stall on Friday 1st
February after school in the Library.
· Academy Conversion – With our conversion process going well it is time to
look to the future of the Governing Body. We will have spaces for more parent
representatives on our governor team. These members will be elected by
parents. Look out for details of up-coming meetings with present members of
the Governing Body so that you can get a realistic idea of what it means to be
a governor and the commitment we would need from you!
· Tennis Club – George and Harry Steed from Ryde Mead Tennis Club began
our coaching sessions this week. The children really enjoyed learning new
skills. We do still have 4 spaces if your child is in Key Stage 2 and interested
in joining. Billy Backshall in Elm Team has already been identified as
someone with natural talent and the coaches are offering him free one to one
coaching after the club. This is a really great opportunity for the children.
· S.O.N – There will be a PTA meeting on Thursday 31st January at 9.00am in
the Library. Please come along if you can.
· Parent’s Evenings – The Spring Term meetings will be on Monday 4th and
Tuesday 5th of March.
· Pre-School – If you have any old play clothes aged 4 -5 years Pre-school
would be grateful of any donations.
· Missing Fleece – William Reed in Willow has lost his Northwood fleece.
Could you please check that your child has not picked it up by mistake?

My husband and I love this school and really appreciate the fact the teachers and support staff will listen to any concerns we have.
