Oak, Elm and Beech Discover the Tudors

A treasure chest unlocked the secrets of our topic on the Tudors for Year 3 and 4 this term. By dressing up and travelling back in time, the children learnt all about the Battle of Bosworth and the first of the Tudor kings, Henry VII.

Through art, drama, music and dance, we are now enjoying learning about Henry VIII and his six unfortunate wives.

Over the next few weeks we will be exploring all aspects of life in tudor times, culminating in a trip to Hampton Court for the Year 3.

In Literacy we have been focusing on writing letters. The Year 4 children are looking forward to meeting their new penpals in March.
