*** For the Key Stage 2 Christmas Celebration we are hoping to make lanterns and walk from school to Venner Park where we will hold a short Carol Concert for the Community and come back to school for mince pies and hot drinks. We have far too many children to fit into Northwood Church this year and we would like to celebrate all together. Although this is a Key Stage 2 celebration everyone is welcome to join us at the Park and for the refreshments afterwards.

International Week
We have had a wonderful ‘International Week’ and both staff and children have worked really hard to make it a success. I spent Wednesday afternoon in Aspen and was amazed by the children’s team work and focus on their tasks. It was lovely to see so many of you in school this afternoon. Thank you for your support.

Parents Evenings
Please sign up for Parent’s Evenings next week. It is really important that you have the opportunity to find out how your child is progressing with their learning. If you are unable to attend please ask the class teacher to provide you with an alternative time in the near future.

Poppies will be on sale next week in the library during playtimes. We ask for a silver donation for them.

School Clubs
The club lists for years 4, 5, and 6 went up this morning in the library, please check that your child has signed up if they wish to take part. Please check the club letter for starting dates as they vary. I would be really grateful for the loan of any old Lego for the next few weeks as I think there might be a big demand for it!

‘Phil the Bag’
A reminder that Phil the Bag is being collected next week and we need your filled bags by Tuesday. It was a really good money spinner last year and we hope it will be as lucrative this time.

Our Academy will be running on Thursdays for the next 4 weeks, for an hourly session. Please sign up in the library if you can spare some time to help us.

Gurnard netball club are looking for new players. They are open to girl’s in year 4 and older and run training sessions at Cowes High School on a Wednesday evening between 6 and 7pm.

Golden Behaviour Children
As I have no room left the Golden Behaviour Children will be on next week’s newsletter.

Have a great bonfire night – stay safe!
